Completing this course in GCSE Level 2 English Language & Literature could open up countless opportunities for you throughout your life. Doing a Level 2 course means that you will be able to get an A-C grade in English, which is a frequent requirement when applying for jobs or other courses.This course is taught at two centres in London, in the North Eastern areas of Tottenham and Enfield.As well as attaining an invaluable GCSE English certificate, you will develop a host of personal skills through this course. There is a strong emphasis on developing students' verbal and written communication skills. You will get involved in a variety of speaking and listening activities in which you will learn to match your style and responses to a particular audience and setting. You will also improve your written English skills by practising constructing arguments in essays using correct grammar and learning to match your style to the audience and the purpose. You will also be introduced to literature from the English Literary Heritage, including Shakespeare, and other cultures and traditions and be taught how to accurately and fluently read, understand and respond to the texts. You will be taught to analyse and evaluate a wide range of texts, such as novels and poetry, which will help to develop your analytical skills.
