The electrotechnical apprenticeship is suitable for any individual who wishes to become an installation electrician. The candidate will undertake the City & Guilds 2357 NVQ Level 3 Diploma consisting of knowledge units and performance units. This involves both practical and theory elements. The apprenticeship also includes Functional Skills in mathematics, English and ICT at Level 2. The apprenticeship takes approximately 42 months to complete, however previous qualifications can reduce this. All candidates are required to be employed by an electrical contractor to undertake the apprenticeship.
