This Level 1 Award explores themes of citizenship and equal opportunities. The award is aimed at people who are interested in their community and may want to work in the voluntary and community sector. It will explore ideas about human rights and responsibilities, equality and awareness of how local politics shapes the world in which we live. This is a useful, 5 day course if you are considering applying for one of the Institute of Leadership & Management Awards. Courses are offered on a residential or non-residential basis and take place in the grade 1 listed landscape of Wentworth Castle near Barnsley. Many courses last from 3 to 5 days to provide a short, intensive and enjoyable learning experience.
