Heavy Vehicle Mechanics have the added challenge of working on trucks and buses. They carry out maintenance to service schedules, repair or replace complex parts to keep the vehicles mobile. This is a highly skilled role with the challenges of meeting tight deadlines, as the vehicles are often commercial which means time is money! On the Advanced Apprenticeship, you will perfect your skills to deal with more complex problems and learn how to identify more difficult faults and how to repair them using sophisticated diagnostic equipment.
