UPDATED 20170103 08:30:07

Creative Media at Plymouth College of Art is a production focused extended diploma programme that is equivalent to three A-Levels at grade C or above. Creative Media Production invites you to explore your ideas through all media technical approaches and in return you will gain significant experience in using production software packages, DSLR camera equipment, lighting for film, animation techniques, sound design and soundtrack production. More importantly you will undertake regular (at least 40) productions of varying lengths and styles either as a solo project or in production teams. Alongside working on live professional projects judged and delivered by external agencies from our growing list of affiliate partners. Just because it is a production focused course, you will still be required to hone your skill at research, critical and evaluative writing, and extending and broadening your existing knowledge within your chosen subject specialism. 90% of Creative Media learners go on to higher education study and relevant employment, gaining unconditional offers from renowned production degree programs delivered at highly established universities and colleges. Creative Media Production is committed to exploring the creative and business potential of new technology, online delivery and cloud services and ensuring learners are the best equipped to professionally step into the changing tide of the media industry. By completing the two-year course and successfully passing all units you will achieve a Level 3 Extended Diploma accredited by UAL – equivalent to three full A-levels, or a maximum of 420 UCAS points. Students will be supported to progress to Higher Education at Plymouth College of Art, another university or into employment.
