Sewing and Home Crafts from Around the World How will this course help me? You will be introduced to the wide and varied crafts from around the world. Who is the course for? This course is suitable for all that have an interest in developing their sewing and home craft skills by exploring techniques from around the world.. What can I expect to Learn? A range of traditional crafts from home and around the world Explore the origins of a variety of well-known crafts Develop your craft skills Health and Safety related to this subject area. How will I learn? There may be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practice at your own pace. There are no exams or formal assessments. If you think you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff. We will try to help you. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practice in between and prepare for the next and future sessions. You tutor will give guidance at the first session. What will I need to provide? Please bring a notebook and pen. Your tutor will discuss any additional cost for materials you may need. We do try to recycle resources as much as is possible. Will there be any other costs? You may be provided with a reading list to support your learning. You tutor will discuss any additional costs with you. What can I do next?
