Augmentative and Alternative Communication

Students with AAC needs are fully assessed by a team including our ICT manager, SALT, and AAC consultant. Students are allocated a wide range of opportunities to access AAC, incluing ipads, Doozie Switches, and all manner of other AAC devices. Students receive specific training in the use of these devices, in order to consolidate and generalise use across the curriculum.
