If you are not sure what career you want to enter into, then this qualification is ideal for you. You will gain an insight into different areas of the business world which will support you in all aspects of any career choice you make. Following a successful completion of the course, you would also be able to enter onto the Level 3 Business programme or alternatively, you could gain employment. The course is made up of four core units and five specialist units chosen by the college. You will learn about the subjects including business communication, sales and customer service and financial controls. The course will give you a good grounding in all the areas of business which you will find useful when you enter the world of work.

There is an examined unit: Investigating Financial controls. We use projects, assignments, presentations and other practical activities to assess you. An overall grade for the qualification is awarded to students who successfully complete all units. Grades awarded are Pass, Merit or Distinction. The compulsory subjects are: Unit 1 - Enterprise in the Business World (Exam) Unit 2 - Finance for Business (Exam) There are 10 other subjects which will be studied, where assessment takes place by coursework being submitted.
