IT (User) has been designed by employers to meet the needs of today's businesses. No two organisations are the same. The way they use IT is different; the IT skills of each employee are different. ITQ will ensure that employers get the right person for the right job by equipping individuals with relevant and effective IT user skills. Mercia Partnership delivers the ITQ on many employers' premises. We help people improve their skills and assess them to National Standards certified by City & Guilds. The ITQ User qualification covers a variety of topics including: Operating a computer Word Processing Spreadsheets E-mail Internet/Intranet Databases Bespoke Systems The Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma qualifications are part of the IT Application Specialist apprenticeship framework. A Level 2 user can make use of predefined or commonly used IT tools for activities that are at times non-routine or unfamiliar, they will be able to devise solutions to use IT tools to improve productivity. Any aspect that is unfamiliar will require support and advice from other people.
