The course is aimed at a wide variety of mature minded students who have a very keen interest in the catering industry or who already work within the sector. We have a high level of student success from those who complete the course. Many of our students are from abroad or are very able amateur cooks seeking a qualification. Example of past students: Harvey Lincoln-Started College on our Level 2 course as an enthusiastic amateur cook before passing his qualification and working in restaurants/hotels throughout the UK gaining experience in renowned fine dining establishments. He returned 2 years later to progress on to a Level 3 course which he successfully completed and is now looking to take a Junior Sous Chef position at a prestigious hotel. The NVQ course is broken down into units. When you have completed this section you will be assessed on your practical skills and formally tested about your theoretical knowledge.
