19th century ballet narratives

How does ballet tell a story? Dance and mime communicate plot and character, but music underpins the narrative . We will explore many examples from numerous ballets. No technical musical or ballet knowledge is required. Tutor: Pauline Greene (external website) Break week: 24th October.
