The Introductory Award in Education and Training from Canterbury Christ Church University is a 20-credit',' level 4 introductory course to teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector. What you will study: On this programme',' you will study module 1 of the Diploma in Education and Training course: Introduction to Teaching and Learning. You will learn how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions that will engage and actively involve your learners. <em>This course does not entitle candidates to teach in the primary or secondary schools sector.</em> How you will be assessed: Assessments for this qualification comprise a 15 minute micor-teach',' individual reflections',' entries in a progress log and an essay. You will also take part in class discussions',' practical work and online activities. Entry Requirements: - GCSE English and maths at A*-C or equivalent. - A quallification at level 3 or above in your area of expertise. - All candidates are required to complete a short written task prior to interview in addition to their existing qualifications. Career Options: On successful completion of the Introductory Award you may progress onto Certificate in Education and Training or the Diploma in Education and Training.
