Train for a career as a barber or owner of a barber's salon. Learn how to advise and consult clients and promote services and products',' as well as how to: - Shampoo and condition hair and scalp - Apply men's hair colouring - Dry and finish men's hair - Cut hair and facial hair - Promote products and services to clients You will be assessed by practical and written assignments',' course work and oral questions. We will also help you achieve a Grade C in GCSE in English and Maths',' if you don't have these yet. You will need to buy specialist equipment and clothing. Entry Requirements: You need at least three GCSEs at grades A*-C including one in English',' maths or science',' and a good attendance record. Your acceptance will be subject to a successful interview and internal/external references. You need to be employed in a salon offering a full range of barbering services to apply. Career Options: Hairdressing work or the Hairdressing Level 3.
