This course is a first stepping stone towards a career as an apprentice in working with wood. You will learn and practise a range of skills in wood occupations. During the course you will develop skills which will prepare you for entering employment in a construction or a furniture related craft. Functional skills of English',' maths and ICT are a key part of this course. There will be practical assessments',' knowledge tests and exams. Entry Requirements: You should have a good school report with GCSE grade D or above in English or maths. You will be interviewed and take part in a taster day before we offer you a place on the course. Career Options: Study a Level 2 Diploma',' an Apprenticeship or find work in furniture craft.
