BSc(Hons) Strength and Conditioning

This course has been designed to help you develop skills and knowledge in order to critically analyse the application of strength and conditioning programmes and their impact upon an athlete's performance. You will evaluate all aspects of the fundamental scientific concepts and coaching practice underpinning the safe and effective application of strength and conditioning interventions with sports performers. You will study subjects to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge about planning delivering and evaluating strength and conditioning coaching session's across s a variety of sports. You will demonstrate the ability to critically analyse strength and conditioning programmes and apply appropriate athlete development training within the widest sport performance context. You will complete a research project on a topic agreed with your tutor in order to submit a dissertation.
