Level 1 Diploma in Plumbing

The Level 1 Diploma in Plumbing is an introductory course that will equip students with the basic practical skills and knowledge needed to start work in the plumbing industry. The one year, full time course comprises of theory work and practical sessions in the plumbing workshops in the College's state-of-the-art Construction Skill Centre. The units covered will include: Structure of the Construction Industry, Fundamental safe working practices, Environmental & Sustainability measures, Site preparation, Above ground drainage, Copper pipework, Plastic pressure pipe, low carbon steel pipework, Installation & maintenance of Plumbing Systems, Plumbing Science. This is an ideal course for those who work well in a team, enjoy working with their hands and is looking to take their first steps in a career becoming a domestic or industrial plumber.
