This is a one year course, with learners having the opportunity to progress onto a second year to achieve the full Level 3 qualification. Learners who do not progress onto year 2 will achieve the equivalent of 1.5 A Levels. This course is for those who would like to further develop their knowledge of care principles and gain a qualification that will help them gain employment in the industry This course will instil core principles of best practice including diet nutrition psychology and activity setting for groups Students will be expected to complete a work placement as part of their qualification.
