We are surrounded by the tactile world of textiles, fabrics and constructed surfaces, which in our digital world remain increasingly valuable. This course offers you the opportunity to explore and develop skills in the creative areas of printing, fabric dyeing, machine and hand stitching, felt-making, weaving and knitting. This is a practical course where you will build on your traditional art & design skills like drawing, painting, photography and any previous textiles experience, and you will have the opportunity to engage with a number of both traditional and new techniques. You will explore various aspects of Textile Design and be introduced to a range of techniques and approaches. You will develop new skills and learn how to document your progress in your sketchbooks.
