It will introduce you to key principles in engineering and includes units in engineering mathematics, mechanical principles, electrical installation, engineering drawing, electronics, welding, and computer-aided design. This wide-ranging qualification combines substantial theoretical learning alongside an opportunity to develop practical work-related skills. It provides a challenging but enjoyable experience for those with an interest in science and maths and a satisfaction in practical applications and problem-solving. You can also take an A level maths alongside this qualification if you have achieved a suitable grade in GCSE maths. This is a recommended route for anyone with ambition to study engineering at university or as a higher apprenticeship.
