UPDATED 20170131 11:39:28

Sociology involves the analysis of a wide range of social issues. The course requires and encourages you to develop a critical view of the world we live in and question some of the racist, sexist or stereotyped opinions that still exist in society. The subject will encourage you to contribute ideas and suggestions to class discussions and also learn classic sociological thought and theory. Sociology is becoming increasing popular and is one of the most innovative, invigorating and interesting subjects to study. Students should be aware of current affairs, read a newspaper and watch the news. Students are also encouraged to regularly use the Sociology website www.podology.org.uk www.podology.org.uk - This also has links to all the other key Sociology websites.
