The level 2 Diploma is designed to provide students with an interest in art and design an opportunity to explore some of the materials methods and processes of many art and design activities. The qualification will also help students to begin to develop related technical skills and to build a portfolio of art and design work. Learning will be through practical activities and projects. Students will be encouraged to explore and experiment and to experience a wide range of art and design methods to develop creativity and a professional and responsible approach to learning. Activities may include drawing, animation, graphics, typography, illustration, 3D model making, textiles, printmaking and the use of new technologies.
