Hairdressing Level 3 Diploma

Hairdressing is an ever expanding, exciting and competitive industry. The increased depth of knowledge and skills at Level 3 will provide specialised skills and techniques in creative cutting, colouring, dressing and styling hair, both short and long and also men's hairstyling. It also provides training in specialist consultation and treatment services for hair and scalp conditions. In order to gain the product and services promotion unit you will plan, organise and carry out a promotional activity such as a coffee morning. As well as hands-on creative lessons in our modern well-equipped studios, you will have the opportunity to carry out services on paying clients, developing excellent customer service. This experience will develop both confidence and competence in preparation for the workplace. It will enable you to develop your artistic flair and creativity enabling you to work using individual style. Additional skills which will help you are: motivation and the will to succeed, dedication and enthusiasm to cope when the going gets tough, excellent communication skills, creativity and a good standard of appearance to promote the industry. You will have the opportunity to take part in competitions and showcase your skills at the college Hair Show. Opportunities to shine will include encouragement to take part in internal and external skills events.
