The course prepares you for level 1 courses and the world of work. You will work towards four vocational awards, a certificate in Work Skills, English, maths and ICT (at Dewsbury) and an Award in Sustainability (at Huddersfield). A number of vocational options are available (dependent on centre), including animal care, caring for children, catering, hair and beauty, construction, public services, sport and leisure, art and design, art and media and horticulture. You will take part in a range of activities to develop your employability skills.
