Who is the course for? The Level 2 Cambridge Technical Diploma in Media course is industry-relevant and geared to key sector requirements. This qualification offers students a more in-depth understanding of working with media products, production processes and technologies. This leads to practical and creative skills that transfer into the workplace. Units cover a range of media including print, web, radio, television, film, animation and gaming. It gives students of Media in the modern workplace, giving insights into Media roles in specialist careers. You will learn how to get jobs in the Media industry and learn media skills that will help you in any future employment. It is equivalent to 4 GCSE's grade A* - C. What can it lead to? A Pass at the Level 2 Diploma and L1 Functional Skills English and Maths can lead to the BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Creative Media Production. A Merit at the Level 2 Diploma and L2 English and Maths can lead to the BTEC Level 3 90-Credit Diploma in Creative Media Production. What will I study? Students will have the opportunity to learn camera skills, lighting, making films and editing plus photography skills. Learners will gain an understanding of the Media Industry and of opportunities for employment. All students will be required to develop their English and Maths through courses such as Functional skills and GCSE.
