The course covers a wide range of subjects including: Uniformed Public Services Employment Public Service Skills Career Planning for the Public Services Adventurous Activities and Teamwork for the Public Services (this will include a one week residential visit to an appropriate outdoor activity centre) Citizenship, the Individual and Society Improving Health and Fitness for Entry to the Uniformed Public Services Students will have the opportunity to visit a variety of public services and will also gain knowledge of the industry from a wide range of speakers. Students may also choose to study for a GCSE to increase their qualifications, or to resit a previous GCSE subject to improve a grade. To enhance employment opportunities the course may also have additional qualifications built into the programme.
