Accounting is a versatile discipline, constantly evolving and at the heart of all business decisions. It encompasses a vast range of careers from traditional auditing to the wider business and management arena. The first year of the BSc in Accounting is mainly in common with the BA Business programme, providing a solid grounding in managing the challenges of managing organisations, information technology, and analytical skills. This foundation will provide a broad introduction to business which employers will value whilst also providing a specialist Accounting pathway, and ensuring competency in the principles of accounting. In Year 2 the course focuses on Management Accounting and International Financial Reporting and in Year 3 the focus is on strategic issues with Contemporary Accounting Issues and Financial Management.
