What will I do on this study programme? If photography is your thing, you could do no better than starting your career with this study programme. You'll learn from skilled photographers in our three fantastic darkrooms, studios and our digital facilities. You'll also get to work with real clients giving you real insight to being a successful photographer. In addition you will also develop your literacy and numeracy skills and build your creative thinking abilities to enable you to take your studies further. This new study programme covers state-of-the-art digital technology as well as traditional silver-based practice. You will learn how to become a professional photographer. You will also have the chance to enter competitions and exhibit your work in an end of year show. You'll look at photography media, techniques and technology, darkroom practice, studio techniques, location photography, experimental imagery, image manipulation applications. How will I be assessed? External moderators and our tutors will assess your practical projects in studios and workshops and written assignments throughout the study programme. What options do I have after successfully completing? Progress to A Foundation Degree in Photography in Practice or Graphic Design, Film and Media Arts Production and then the relevant BA Honotop-up. These are all at Weston College in partnership with Bath Spa University and University of the West of England. A wide range of university degrees in photography, media or photographic illustration.
