What will I do on this study programme? During this study programme you will study a range of topics which will prepare you for a wide range of careers within the industry. These include the online world, multimedia, web development, software development, building a personal computer, digital portfolio, computing in the workplace, animation and technological systems. As well as studying a range of IT related subjects you will be set a number of projects that are based on real life work situations. As part of your programme you will also study Personal and Social Development, where you will develop the skills required to progress to further study programmes and employment. How will I be assessed? Observation of practical activities, group work, presentations, coursework, online assessments and examinations. What options do I have after successfully completing? Progress to Computing Level 2 or another Level 2 qualification (with a Certificate or Diploma only). Job/career opportunities A career in the IT industry such as an IT support technician, IT helpdesk, programmer or systems analyst.
