The purpose of this qualification is to ensure that students are well prepared to progress into a career in business, finance or professional accountancy, or into further education. The full certificate course content is taught over 40 evening sessions. Bookkeeping tends to take around 15 evening sessions. Exams will usually take place on a Saturday. Learners receive their results as soon as they have completed each computer based assessment. Results for Using Accounting Software and the synoptic assessment take 4-6 weeks
