If you're looking to expand your knowledge and understanding of vehicle electrics, and would like to advance your career in the automotive industry, then this Level 3 Diploma in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Principles could be the perfect course for you. You'll complete a number of different units over the duration of the course, to develop your knowledge and understanding of the roles required of you in the industry, and to give you hands-on practical experience diagnosing a range of complex electrical malfunctions and carrying out successful repairs. You'll learn how to identify engine electrical faults, how to rectify transmission and chassis electrical faults, and what to do with auxiliary equipment electrical faults. The course forms the knowledge component (technical certificate) of the IMI SSC Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Installation Advanced Apprenticeship framework, and covers National Occupational Standards for the industry. You'll be awarded a Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) from the Institute of the Motor Industry, which can then be used as credit towards the corresponding VCQ.
