Whether you're just leaving school and want to join the automotive industry, are already employed and want to enhance your skills with a relevant qualification, or would just like to develop your working knowledge of car electrics, this Level 2 Diploma in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Principles could be the perfect course for you. Throughout the duration of the course, you'll cover both the theoretical and practical aspects of a range of topics, including diagnosing & repairing electrical units, and locating & correcting simple electrical faults. You'll learn how to enhance vehicle electrical system features, and how to conduct pre & post work inspections. You will even get the chance to develop your skills in removing & fitting basic mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) components. This qualification forms the knowledge component of the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) Sector Skills Council's Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Installation Apprenticeship framework. It's based upon industry specific National Occupational Standards, and will give you a good knowledge, practical experience, and a recognised qualification to advance onto further training.
