If you would like to work in the hair and beauty industry one day, but don't know where to start, look no further than this introductory course. You'll learn all the basic skills you need to advance onto further levels of study, working towards an exciting career in the future. You'll learn a number of hair skills and beauty techniques by practicing on yourself first. For this award, you'll study one mandatory unit in creating your own hair and beauty image, and one optional unit of your choice. This could be in caring for your own feet, applying your own make-up or painting your own nails. You'll be developing a number of useful techniques as you learn how to care for yourself, as well as learning all about hair, beauty and hygiene products in the industry. If you wish to study more units, you can advance onto a certificate or diploma in this area.
