This course is designed for post A level students who wish to explore a vast variety of techniques and processes before committing to an undergraduate degree within a more specific area of art and design. This is a pivotal qualification, providing a transition from general education to a more specialist course. It will build on your previous experience within art and design and expand your knowledge and independence so you have the skills and understanding you need to progress. You will be allocated your own studio space, where you will learn in an experiential and experimental manner and be open to making discoveries through innovation and exploration. You will be able to access a range of excellent facilities such as light exposure units, vacuum screen-printing tables, photographic darkroom, photographic studios and Mac computer suites, wide photo printer, Jewellery making equipment and a kiln to name a few. You will be taught by a variety of knowledgeable lecturers who have experience within a range of industries. With these provisions, you will be able to develop a wide range of skills within a wide range of specialisms, and a deep knowledge and understanding of creative research, exploration and development.
