This course will equip you with a good understanding of a range of practices and enables you to develop your skills further through the introduction of a number of ambitious and exciting projects. Specialist pathways support the continued development and investigation of areas including Printmaking, Graphic Design, and Fine Art (Painting, Sculpture and Time-Based Media), Photography, Textiles, Fashion and 3D Design. You will be encouraged to find your own methods of expression through a series of individually motivated and innovative projects, culminating in a large scale exhibition. Equally, you will be asked to consider the professional and vocational aspects of their studies through the completion of a Professional Practice unit. Throughout the course there may be regular trips to national galleries and museums, including London, Liverpool and Oxford. Similarly, there may be opportunities to visit Europe on a residential trip. Private study is required and the course offers opportunities to gain further qualifications in Functional Skills English, Maths and or ICT.
