The “GeTINvolved” Cultural Volunteering Programme is a Durham county-wide programme offered by TIN Arts for individuals aged 19+ with learning difficulties and disabilities and those with mental health issues. It is non-accredited learning and through regular workshops and activities it develops the skills, knowledge and understanding required to become a ‘cultural volunteer’. Volunteers will be trained in the skills and knowledge to become a volunteer within cultural activities across the county. Learner volunteers will participate in arts-based workshops and activities. They will then be supported to engage in volunteering both within TIN Arts led programmes and events and also within venues/events managed by other locally based, cultural organisations.
