Advanced Subsidiary Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development (Brailsford)

The Sports Coaching and Development course is designed to build your skills and knowledge base. It is suitable for learners who have a higher level interest in sports coaching or sports development. You will study in both practical and theoretical settings to understand advanced concepts in various areas of sport. This flexible programme can be studied over one, two or three years and allows learners to progress into employment or higher education.

Name: Advanced Subsidiary Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development (Brailsford) Qualification title: BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Sport (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Learners will build a portfolio based around evidence generated by the various assessment methods in each unit.  Learners can expect to be assessed through: practical demonstration logbooks and performance records written reports and essays presentations workbooks discussions and vivas Learners will be expected to meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks throughout the year. Your workload will be challenging so excellent organisation and time management skills are essential. The qualification submission policy will be explained to you and must be adhered to. Entry requirements

You will need to purchase a kit. The cost of this will be finalised at the start of the course but is expected to be in the region of £140. This will include yearly gym membership and the end-of-year celebration event. This money is to be received before November. There may be additional costs incurred for selected trips or visits.  If you are combining your study with a sports academy, please note that your kit costs will be higher.
