B0112CB: Mindfulness is when we pay more attention to the present moment - to your own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around you. The aim of the course is to enable you to gain knowledge, understanding and benefits of Mindfulness. Topics will include reflective practice; open questioning techniques and exploring some of the theories behind Mindfulness approaches. There will be opportunities to practise the skills taught. It will be very experiential with the students carrying out various exercises to learn the skill of Mindfulness. By the end of the session you should be able to Apply basic Mindfulness skills such as reminding yourself to take notice of your thoughts, feelings, body sensations and the world around you to enable you to enjoy the world around you more and understand yourself better.
