Contents include: Year 1 Business Environment (Core) Business Resources (Core) Managing an event Business Communications (Core) Introduction to marketing (Core) Business Project Management Team Building Starting a Small Business Health and Safety Year 2 Business Accounts Internet Marketing Development Planning Business Project Management Understanding Retailing Management Accounts Human Resource Management Business and the Economic Environment Employment Law Creative Product Promotion Plus other units as well as national recognised Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT. There will be talks by visiting speakers who are current practitioners in the field of business including personnel managers, marketing managers and accountants. Work placements may be organised to provide learners with an opportunity to observe and gain experience in different organisations. Recent placements have included learners helping out at the Coventry Telegraph Business Awards. There will also be organised visits to universities.
