The Early Years Education and Care Diploma qualification prepares learners to become early years educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. What will I study? Contents include: Role of the practitioner Legislation Play and development Supporting healthy lifestyles and safeguarding Professional development In addition learners will need to complete an assignment based on individual observations of a child in the workplace. Work placement is a requirement of the course and learners will need a clear DBS check.
