This course gives you the opportunity to complete specialist studies which are directly relevant to roles in the industry. HNC is suitable for people who want to consolidate or improve their experience, skills and knowledge. The Higher National Diploma (HND) is ideal for candidates who may have knowledge of their chosen field (see below) already and wish to work in higher paid roles.HNCYou will have appropriate qualifications at Level 3 - either a Diploma in Engineering with GCSE Maths at Grade C or above or Maths/Science at A Level or relevant industrial experience. There is a formal interview procedure where a member of the team will have the opportunity to ascertain your qualifications and suitability. You will also have the opportunity to see whether this course of study is right for you and exactly what it entails. HNDStudents would normally possess a Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Engineering, or relevant A levels with GCSEs (including Maths and Science). Mature students with relevant experience will be individually assessed. Students with a HNC can use those units towards the HND where appropriate.
