BA Hons (3rd Yr) Humanistic Transactional Analysis Counselling 1 Yr Level 6

A exciting course designed to enable those who hold a Level 4 or 5 award in Transactional Analysis training to acquire a degree. The course is designed to attract students who have completed a Level 4 or Level 5 award in Transactional Analysis training and who wish to build on existing knowledge and understanding and thus enhance practice. Those who have a Level 4 award will need to show evidence of ongoing CPD. The course aims to:- Provide wide access to study for students with the appropriate aptitude, experience and qualities;- To establish and inclulcate a learning environment for the development of personal and professional attributes;- Provide a safe environment in which students are able to share vulnerabilities, concerns and learn and develop from each other;- Build upon and enhance eknowledge, skills and the theory unperpinning the core philosophy;- Encourage students to develop further his/her capacity for reflexivity and become a reflexive practitioner;- Encourage students to further integrate learning and practice;- Support students in their learning, in their ability to make informed decisions and to evluate their practice in terms of its effectiveness and to highlight learning edges;- Encourage a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development. The course involves:- attendance at 7 monthly workshops;- 200 hours 1:1 counselling;- monthly supervision provided by the college;- attendance at a monthly Professional Development group;- 40 hours of personal therapy with an appropriately qualified psychotherapist.Please note that we aim to provide the supervision and professional development on the same day.
