This 10 hour course in Canterbury is designed as a basic introduction to British Sign Language for both those who have an interest in learning just a little or for those who wish to use this course as a stepping stone to learning more of the language/before joining an exam course. , , By the end of the course successful students will be able to:, - fingerspell names etc and use fingerspelling to support signing, - meet and greet others and exchange simple information, - sign numbers up to 20, - demonstrate 5 signs for each of the following topics: weather, colour, food and drink., , To gain maximum benefit students will need to practice between sessions.
