This course is aimed at photographers who have beginner to intermediate level experience with digital photography. During the course of this 1 day workshop students will be shown how to use basic studio lighting, starting with one light and then advancing to finally cover three point lighting. Students will be photographing a model and therefore be given the opportunity to direct the 'shoot'. There will also be the opportunity to learn how to meter, use natural lighting with studio heads and also how to reproduce high and low key lighting techniques., , Course Aims, To produce a series of portraits/studio shots, To be able to use and adjust Aperture settings in order to maximise the effect of Depth of Field, To be able to frame and compose portraits/studio shots, To be able to use a manual or hand held meter, , There is no qualification for this course., , There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. This course is aimed at photographers who have beginner to intermediate level experience with digital photography, and who have an advanced Digital SLR camera or advanced Bridge Camera (with Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual settings - A,S,M on the mode wheel) as well as USB cable or card reader, and wish to learn more about its functionality.

Please do not buy anything especially for the course before it starts. All students will need either a DSLR or advanced Bridge Camera (with Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual settings - A,S,M on the mode wheel) as well as USB cable or card reader. In addition to this, if you already happen to have remote flash modules or a hand held meter then please also bring these. Also please bring any speed light or flash gun that you may have (again, not compulsory). Please bring a packed lunch.
