This Art course will allow you to continue to learn and build upon your watercolour skills in a combination of tutor led and self-directed work. Attention will also be given to refining drawing skills and looking at fundamental principles of design such as composition, colour and tone. You will be encouraged in developing a personal style and direction leading to greater confidence and independence as an artist whilst gaining a comprehensive understanding of the subject. , By the end of the course you will be able to:, Use composition to create impact within a painting, Create the illusion of texture using salt, masking fluid and splatter, Fade areas out using a damp or wet brush, Create depth through the use of a full tonal range including a mixed black and 'lifting out', Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines, Students who have completed the Improvers course or have the equivalent experience watercolour paint., It is important to note that craft courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another adult please ask to speak to the Programme Manager before you enrol.
