Drawing and Painting - Summer School

This one week Art course provides an intensive holistic overview of art and painting with the ethos to encourage independent thinking to enable you to study art at a higher level and improve your painting skills. Subjects included will be still life, figurative and landscape, weather permitting. The use of a sketchbook will be encouraged along with the use of your choice of materials. The tutor will set projects over the week that will allow for personal development of a variety of skills. Anyone who has completed art courses with KAE or has the equivalent arts experience., It is important to note that art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another person, please ask to speak with the Programme Manager before you enrol.

Entry requirements

You should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper, preferably with a hard cover and ring bound and a variety of pencils. You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. If you have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate please bring them with you.
