Drawing and Painting - Expressive Watercolour

If you are looking to take your drawing skills into a new direction then this course with coloured pencils is for you., , This course will cover some basic drawing and measuring skills., It will look at the varied styles of Coloured Pencil work and its expressiveness as a medium ., Students will try the Coloured Pencil techniques of Burnishing, Impressed line Drawing, Hatching,, Cross Hatching, Visual Colour mixing with layering ., It will look at Coloured Pencils as a mixed media., A range of Subject Matter will be used., Historical and Contemporary Artist reference where appropriate. Absolute beginners or those with a little experience.

Entry requirements

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all students should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper, preferably with a hard cover and ring bound and a variety of pencils., , You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. Some of our centres have their own 'shops' where you are able to buy things at competitive prices., , If you have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate please bring them with you.
