Ladies - Level 1 Sport with Football

This course is for students who want to work in junior managerial positions in the sport industry, become sports coaches, or who wish to progress into Higher Education in a degree related to sport. Our courses have been developed to meet the expanding employment opportunities within the industry including: health and fitness facilities, coaching/teaching, professional sport and performance.This course runs alongside our Sports Performance Academies, for those who have a talent for football. A 'work hard play hard' ethos is expected of all students and a balanced approach to the sporting/academic demands of the programme is essential. The Jill Scott Football Academy is run by qualified, highly respected and well-known professional coaches and is aimed at increasing the numbers of girls playing football and being involved in the sport. We have developed a unique training programme which includes specialist advice on nutritional, sports therapy, sports psychology and skills development. The Jill Scott Football Academy competitive fixtures mean that students must be under 19 at the start of the course.All Football Academy places are subject to maintaining the required academic standard.Jill Scott is a member of the Manchester City team which has just clinched the Women's Super League title for the first time, and was part of the England team which finished third in the 2015 World Cup. The 29-year-old attacking midfielder has more than 100 international caps, and has scored 15 times for the England team. Jill also represented Team GB at the London Olympics, was voted the 2008 FA Players' Player of the Year, and the 2011 FA International Player of the Year.
