Applied Science BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3

During the course you will learn the fundamentals of science but also scientific investigations, scientific practical techniques, medical physics and working in the science industry. Units focus on practical activities, from which the theory is then drawn. The full 180-credit BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science is studied over two years. Nine units (90 credits) are studied within each year. The first year of study completes a 90 credit Diploma. The second year extends and deepens the specialist work-related focus from the first year of study to lead to the Extended Diploma.   The full 180 credit Extended Diploma is equivalent to three A Levels.   You will study in our modern laboratories at ncn Basford Hall, with friendly, knowledgeable and experienced tutors helping you along the way. You'll also complete a portfolio of work based on continual assessment throughout the year.
