You'll cover journalism theory, practice and critical texts throughout the course. You will study core production skills and practices for a range of generic journalistic approaches. For each module, you will study relevant journalism theory, culture and context. You will produce content across a range of media, such as video, audio, still imagery, online and text. All modules are developed so that you can explore the cultural, social and political context in which journalism exists. Final year modules allow you to focus on specific media formats, creating a range of products relevant to areas of news and journalism practice including online journalism, current affairs documentaries, media investigations and a final major project which you will be able to exhibit in the final year show.
