Counselling for Beginners

As well as learning the definition of counselling, you will also explore non-verbal communication, active listening skills and counselling settings, plus, you will learn about theoretical approaches and the ethical use of skills. The course will involve small group work as well as larger group discussions, experimental exercises and the option of journal writing.  You will explore the different kinds of counselling, including family, divorce, marital and child.  On completion of the course you will have a good understanding about the correct application of communication and basic counselling skills.  With experienced teaching staff and great college facilities, this part-time course is a great starting point to your career in counselling.
